Bears in Mind, well-known through the Bear Forest in Ouwehand Zoo Rhenen, protects the bear in the wild and helps captive bears in need. In the Bear Forest, traumatized and abused former dancing and circus bears are sheltered and given the opportunity to live like a true bear again. These bears are the ambassadors for their relatives in the wild. We initiate and support projects all over the world to protect the wild bears’ habitat and help people to live in harmony with the bears.
